Frenchman Hugo Gaston has produced a contender for "one of the shots of the year" during his quarter-final victory over Alex de Minaur in Antwerp.
Gaston, 24, claimed the first top-10 victory of his career in a 6-3 3-6 7-5 triumph.
But the highlight of the match occurred midway through the opening set when Gaston miraculously dug himself out of a hole to produce an extraordinary winner.
De Minaur could only walk back in disbelief and applaud an epic piece of improvisation.
"One of the moments of the year let alone this tournament," said the commentator in awe of Gaston's skill.
The defeat for de Minaur means the 25-year-old's ATP Finals aspirations have taken another hit, while Gaston will face veteran Roberto Bautista Agut in the semi-finals of the ATP 250 event.
