Teenage talent and Lucky Loser Diego Dedura-Palomero has rubbed fans the wrong way as a result of his "wild celebration" amid retirement from his opponent.
The 17-year-old German won his first ATP Tour match against former world No.10 Denis Shapovalov 7-6(2) 3-0 in Munich, with the latter forced to pull the pin as a result of injury.
After shaking Shapovalov's hand, Dedura-Palomero let out an almighty roar in front of his home fans, creating a sign of the cross with his shoes on the clay, laying on the court in relief with his arms and legs spread.
But considering the circumstances, the celebration was met with angry reactions on social media, with one fan writing: "Bro is celebrating an opponent's injury as if he won Roland Garros."
"Cringe celebration, especially the situation," wrote another person.
Recently retired Australian John Millman also thought the way Dedura-Palomero conducted himself was out of the ordinary.
"Unsure I've ever seen a celebration like this one after your opponent has had to retire...," he wrote on X.

Tennis journalist Ben Rothenberg branded it as the "wildest celebration I've ever seen", but offered more sympathy for the inexperienced teenager.
"I don't really match the anger here, btw...let the child be hype about a career-changing result!
"He was up a set and 3-0 before Shapovalov retired, so a victory had been earned when the stoppage came.
"And if his celebration is too much...maybe everyone else is doing too little."
Dedura-Palomero, who now rises inside the world's top-400, will face Zizou Bergs in the round of 16 for a chance to earn a quarter-final berth at the ATP 500 event.
