TWO AUSSIES CONFIRMED FOR ADELAIDE; HOBART, NZ LISTS REVEALED

Australia's Thanasi Kokkinakis and Jordan Thompson have been named in the official entry list for the ATP 250 event in Adelaide next month.

The tournament will commence from January 6-11 in the seventh edition of men's singles in South Australia.

Adelaide-born favourite Kokkinakis, ranked No.77 in the live ATP rankings, will feature again in front of his home fans.

The 28-year-old won the tournament in 2022 after overcoming Frenchman Arthur Rinderknech from one set down.

Having achieved a career-high ranking of No.26, which still stands, Thompson will be hoping for a positive start in the lead-up to the Australian Open where he is on course to be seeded for the first time at a Slam.

America's Tommy Paul will enter as the top seed, while 2023 finalist Sebastian Korda also poses a threat.

Arriving as the defending champion is Czechia's Jiří Lehečka.

In the women's WTA 500 event, two-time Grand Slam finalist Jasmine Paolini and US Open runner-up Jessica Pegula will headline the eighth instalment of the women's draw in Adelaide.

Russia's Daria Kasatkina will be hoping to avoid further heartbreak in Adelaide, having been on the receiving end of back-to-back losses in the final in 2023 and 2024.

Reigning champion and world No.15 Jeļena Ostapenko possesses the necessary powerful weapons to make another deep run.

Below are the entry lists for the WTA Hobart 250 and ATP Auckland 250:
