'THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE': BRIT SLAMS AIRLINE FOR DESTROYING BAGGAGE

British tennis player Olivia Nicholls has vented her fury at Jetstar, holding the airline responsible for ruining her tennis bags and racquets.

Nicholls, who caught a flight from Sydney to Tasmania for the upcoming Hobart International, was left in disbelief when she realised her tennis equipment had been left in tatters.

"This is unacceptable @JetstarAirways. 160AUD to check in because I'm not allowed to take it as a carry on, and you deliver my bag like this? How is this possible. My bag and rackets are totally destroyed."

Australian doubles specialist Ellen Perez shared the post and joined Nicholls' protests.

"Somebody at @JetstarAirways please explain how this is even possible. What a disgrace. I'm convinced it was thrown at a propeller like this is wild," she wrote.

One fan commented: "When you see an airline where most of their posts start with 'we are sorry to hear', you know they are really good at messing things up... I hope @JetstarAirways compensates you appropriately - cost of bag, rackets, refunds, checked luggage fee and some extra for all this mess."

But some leaped in defence of Jetstar, with a comment reading: "I hate to say it, but the bag sizes are above limits. You thought you would try and get around it. It's a you problem not a Jetstar problem."

Nicholls represented Great Britain in the mixed doubles at the United Cup where they crashed out to Poland in the quarter-finals.
