An all-Australian battle took centre stage in Launceston, as teenager Alicia Dale clinched her second career ITF title.

The 17-year-old defeated world No.161 junior Sarah Mildren 6-1 4-6 6-3 on the weekend.

Dale was locked in throughout the tournament, failing to drop more than three games in a set before the final.

She exacted revenge for her loss against Mildren at the J100 Burnie the week prior, having suffered a 1-6 0-6 defeat.

It marks Dale's second-ever ITF title after claiming the Gold Coast J60 event in July last year.

Her win has helped her achieve a career-high junior ranking of No.273.

Dale appeared on SEN's radio show, The First Serve, hosted by Brett Phillips after her memorable Gold Coast triumph.

"I think what brought me to tennis is that I just like the competing [part] of it," she said.

"I love getting out there, focusing on what I need to work on and trying to achieve what I can and what I want to eventually.

"Individual [sport] is obviously hard, but you always just have to find a way."
