Australia's Tristan Schoolkate has won his second Challenger title, overcoming Czechia's Marek Gengel at Queensland Tennis Centre's Pat Rafter Arena.
Schoolkate, 23, clinched his fourth and fifth consecutive tiebreak dating back to the Australian Open to claim a 7-6(3) 7-6(4) victory.
He was broken for the fourth time in the event after dropping his opening service game but fought back impressively.
Having dropped one set the entire tournament, he served 79 aces and averaged a first-serve win rate of 85 per cent across the five matches.
His reward is a new career-high ranking of No.134, as the Western Australian hopeful aims to continue his steady rise.
At last month's Australian Open, Schoolkate reached the second-round, where he faced world No.1 and eventual champion Jannik Sinner, with the Aussie being one of two players to take a set off the Italian throughout the fortnight.
Schoolkate is scheduled to partake in another Brisbane Challenger event starting next week, drawn against compatriot Jason Kubler in the opening round.
He became the second Aussie to win a title in Brisbane this week, hours after Priscilla Hon clinched her 12th career title.
