2017 French Open champion Jeļena Ostapenko emphatically reminded everyone why she is still a major threat on the WTA Tour, dismantling an irritated Iga Świątek to reach the Doha final.

Ostapenko ran riot in a clinical display of shotmaking to upset the world No.2 6-3 6-1 in 71 minutes.

After dropping the opening set, a furious Świątek smashed her racquet upon returning to her bench, causing a rather amusing reaction from her opponent.

From there, the 27-year-old Latvian conceded one game as she secured a dominant victory, leading to a frosty handshake at the net.

Remarkably, Ostapenko now extends her head-to-head record against the five-time Grand Slam winner to 5-0.

"I was pretty confident today that obviously I would beat her because we played a lot of matches, and I kind of know how to play against her," Ostapenko said in her on-court chat.

She is yet to drop one set throughout the tournament this week, spanning five matches.

It sets up an unseeded final against American Amanda Anisimova, with the winner earning 1000 ranking points.
