Tennis Australia have announced the first batch of wildcards for the Adelaide International and Melbourne Summer Set tournaments, which take place in the lead up to the Australian Open, kicking off on January 17.
On the men's side, Nick Kyrgios headlines the list of recipients, earning wildcards into the Melbourne Summer Set, which kicks off on January 3, as well as the Sydney Tennis Classic, which kicks off on January 9.
Joining Kyrgios on the list of wildcard recipients for the Melbourne Summer Set are Aleksandar Vukic and Christopher O'Connell.
Marc Polmans and Rinky Hijkata have received qualifying wildcards.
Also kicking off on January 3 is the Adelaide International, which Thanasi Kokkinakis and Alex Bolt have received main draw wildcards into. A third wildcard recipient is still to be decided.
On the women's side, there are two Melbourne Summer Set tournaments kicking off on January 3, as well as the Adelaide International kicking off on January 2.
Storm Sanders has received a wildcard into the Adelaide International main draw, with three more main draw wildcards to be decided, as well as four qualifying wildcards to be decided.
Astra Sharma and Lizette Cabrera received wildcards into the first Melbourne Summer Set tournament, with injury-riddled duo Kimberly Birrell and Zoe Hives earning qualifying wildcards. 16 year old Taylah Preston also received a qualifying wildcard.
Ellen Perez and Seone Mendez are two of the three wildcard recipients for the second Melbourne Summer Set tournament, with the third to be decided. Arina Rodionova, Olivia Tjandramulia and Gabriella Da Silva Fick received qualifying wildcards, with one more to be decided.
